Comelec finds 1,000 defective SD cards, 450 faulty VCMs; delay in transmittal of votes noted

Comelec official confirms accidental firing incident at PICC

(Eagle News)–An accidental firing incident took place on Monday, May 13, at the Philippine International Convention Center, where the Commission on Elections has convened as the National Board of Canvassers, a Comelec official confirmed. Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said the gun was accidentally fired as security personnel changed shifts during the day. He said, however, that no one was reported hurt. He said there was also no damage to property.
