(Eagle News)–Hugpong ng Pagbabago senatorial candidate Jiggy Manicad has conceded defeat in the midterm elections.
In a video uploaded on his Facebook account, Manicad, a former broadcast journalist, thanked all his supporters for their sacrifice.
“Pero ganyan talaga ang eleksyon. Siyempre parang karera yan, may nananalo, may natatalo,” he said.
He also thanked the people he said he became friends with during the campaign period: Senator Cynthia Villar, Bato dela Rosa, Bong Go, Pia Cayetano, among others.
“At sa lahat po ng mga nanalo ay congratulations po sa inyong lahat,” Manicad said.
Based on unofficial and partial results, Manicad figured outside the winning 12 circle, landing on the 20th spot.
