Gov’t extends PNR line from Tutuban, Manila to Los Baños, Laguna

(Eagle News) — The Philippine National Railways has formally extended its rail services to Los Banos, Laguna. In a statement, the Department of Transportation said this was made possible by the addition of new stations and a new train set from Japan. From Tutuban, Manila, the PNR line now extends to  Pansol, Masili, Los Baños, College, and the International Rice Research Institute, after the Calamba station. The suspension came as rains due to Typhoon “Tisoy” battered Metro Manila, which had been placed under Signal No. 2.
