NBI: 17-year-old suspect in Christine Silawan slay in custody

(Eagle News)–A suspect in the killing of Christine Silawan, a 17-year-old boy, is now in custody, the National Bureau of Investigation said. No details are available so far. Silawan’s lifeless body was found in a vacant lot in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu last week. Police said she suffered multiple stab wounds, and her head had been skinned, exposing her skull. 4.4-magnitude quake jolts Ilocos Norte

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude quake struck Ilocos Norte on Monday, March 18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 16 kilometers southeast of Adams at 4:54 a.m. The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of focus of 18 kilometers. An intensity III was felt in Pasuquin, PHIVOLCS said. No damage nor aftershocks were expected.
