Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid today, June 11

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Tuesday, June 11. The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert was in effect from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Available capacity was at 11,839 megawatts, while peak demand was at 10,921MW. “Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.

Raffy Tulfo charged with bigamy

(Eagle News)–Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo has been charged with bigamy. The charges, filed by Julieta Nacpil Licup, were filed before the Quezon City Prosecutors Office. Licup alleged Tulfo married Jocelyn Pua in 1995, even if Licup’s and the broadcaster’s marriage was still existing. Licup said she and Tulfo married in 1982. Tulfo has yet to issue a statement.
