3.5-magnitude quake hits Albay

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Albay on Thursday, Aug. 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 16 kilometers northwest of Rapu-rapu at 3:03 a.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. An instrumental intensity II was felt in Legazpi City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Military: Chinese warships seen passing through PHL territorial waters anew
