PACC probing two Cabinet secretaries over corruption allegations; results of probe to be submitted to Duterte

(Eagle News)–The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating two Cabinet secretaries for alleged corruption.

PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica made the revelation on Wednesday, Aug. 14, in a Palace briefing.

He, however, refused to identify the Cabinet secretaries, saying the probe was still ongoing.

He said the results would be submitted to President Rodrigo Duterte as soon as the probe is completed.

Belgica said one of the complainants was an official in one of the Cabinet secretary’s department, while the other was a private citizen.

President Rodrigo Duterte  won the 2016 elections on an anti-corruption and anti-crime platform.

He has fired government officials for alleged corruption.

Among the first he fired was his then-Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno.
