Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL today, Aug. 15

(Eagle News)–The southwest monsoon continues to affect the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon on Thursday, Aug. 15.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, and Bataan will therefore have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, are forecast to have
partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, PAGASA said.

The weather bureau said the rest of the country will have moderate winds and moderate coastal waters.
