(Eagle News)–The wife of industrialist John Gokongwei Jr. has died. Elizabeth Yu Gokongwei passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, a week after her husband died, daughter Lisa Gokongwei Cheng said in a Facebook post. 4.3-magnitude quake jolts Bukidnon; Intensity III felt in Davao City

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Bukidnon on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 8 kilometers northwest of Kadilingan at 9:36 a.m. The following intensities and instrumental intensities were recorded: Intensities: Intensity III – Davao City Intensity II – Kidapawan City Instrumental Intensity: Intensity II – Cagayan de Oro City Intensity I – Kidapawan City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

DOH confirms country’s first-ever case of vape-related illness

(Eagle News) — The Department of Health has confirmed the country’s first-ever case of vape-related sickness. According to the DOH, a 16-year-old girl sustained e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury or EVALI after using e-cigarettes  for six months. The DOH said the girl, who was not identified, was admitted to a hospital’s intensive care unit on Nov. 12 after experiencing extreme shortness of breath.
