Regular, special non-working holidays in 2020

(Eagle News) — The Palace on Friday, Nov. 15, released a list of regular and special non-working holidays for next year.

Below is a list, according to Proclamation No. 845:

Regular holidays

  • New Year’s Day – January 1 (Wednesday)
  • Araw ng Kagitingan – April 9
  • Maundy Thursday (for Catholics) –  April 9
  • Good Friday (for Catholics) – April 10
  • Labor Day – May 1
  • Independence Day – June 12
  • National Heroes Day – August 31
  • Bonifacio Day – November 30
  • Christmas Day (for Catholics) – December 25
  • Rizal Day –  December 30

Special non-working days

  • Chinese New Year – January 25
  • EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary – February 25
  • Black Saturday (for Catholics) – April 11
  • Ninoy Aquino Day – August 21
  • All Saints’ Day (for Catholics) – November 1
  • November 2
  • Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary (for Catholics) – December 8
  • December 24
  • Last day of the year – December 31
