4.5-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News) — A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte on Thursday, Dec. 9. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 8:18 a.m. It had its epicenter 30 kilometers northeast of Burgos. The depth of focus was eight kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was reported: Instrumental Intensity: Intensity I – Surigao City No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
