Youth group files charges vs Mocha Uson over alleged acts of “disinformation”

(Eagle News)—A group of youth leaders called for the removal of Assistant Communications Secretary Mocha Uson, calling her a “threat to the security” of those opposed to the government.

Student leaders of Akbayan Youth— Samantha Julia Eala, Raymond John Naguit, Misha Borbon, Roman Romero, Basilio Enrique Claudio, Jonathan Austria, Angel Ruben Roxas, Hernan Delizo, Kisha Beringuela, among others—filed charges of  grave misconduct, serious dishonesty and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service against Uson before the Ombudsman for her alleged spread of “disinformation”  while in office.

The group cited Uson’s alleged 2016 post that said students from St. Scholastica’s College were forced to attend a rally at that time.

They also cited her statement Mt. Mayon was in Naga, and Uson’s alleged posting of a photograph of the Honduran army and her claim it was a picture of the Philippine Army.

“Clearly, Uson is grossly incompetent to convey the right information to guide the Filipino public,” they said.
