Yellow, red alerts in effect over Luzon grid today, June 19

(Eagle News)– Yellow and red alerts are in effect over the Luzon grid today, June 19.

The yellow alert, which means reserves are less than the required minimum levels, is in effect from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said.

The red alert, which means there is a generation deficiency, is in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Available  capacity is at 10,962 megawatts, while peak demand is at 11,134 MW.

“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.
