Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid today, June 6

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Thursday, June 6.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said in its updated advisory that the alert, which means reserves do not meet required minimum levels, is in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The NGCP said available capacity was at 11,753 megawatts, while peak demand was at  11,241 MW.

Details on the cause of the alert will be announced by the Department of Energy later in the day.
