Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid today, June 3

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Monday, June 3.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves do not meet the required minimum levels, is in effect from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Available capacity is at 11820 megawatts, while peak demand was at 10867 megawatts.

Details on the cause of the alert will be announced later today.
