Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid on Tuesday, May 21

(Eagle News)—A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Tuesday, May 21.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves do not meet the required minimum capacity, will be hoisted from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Available capacity is at 11933 megawatts, while peak demand was at 11163 MW.

Details on the cause will be announced by the Department of Energy later in the day, the NGCP said.
