Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid on Thursday, May 16

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in place over the Luzon grid on Thursday, May 16.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves do not meet the minimum capacity, is in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Available capacity is at  11,625 MW while peak demand was at 11,293 MW.

“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.
