Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid on Monday, May 20

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert is in effect over the Luzon grid on Monday, May 20.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves do not reach the minimum required capacity, will be hoisted from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Available capacity was at 11915 megawatts, while peak capacity was at 10937 MW.

Details on the cause will be announced by the Department of Energy, the NGCP said.
