(Eagle News)–Work in all courts nationwide on Monday, Sept. 23, is suspended starting 2 p.m.
The Supreme Court said this was pursuant to Civil Service Commission Announcement No.53,s.2019, which announces the celebration of the 27th national family week.
In the announcement, the CSC urged government agencies and state universities and colleges to hold a simultaneous ringing of bells at 12 noon “as a symbol of nationwide awareness and commitment to commemorate the solidarity and unity of the Filipino family.”
As a sign of support, SUCs were encouraged to ring bells simultaneously at 8 a.m.
The CSC also said government may announce the suspension of work starting 2 p.m. to “encourage them to spend mealtime with their families.”
“The Supreme Court joins the celebration of the 27th National Family Week Celebration,” the SC said.
