Water at Angat dam breaches 180-m minimum operating level

(Eagle News)—The water level of Angat dam has breached the 180-meter required minimum level, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

According to PAGASA, the dam’s water level decreased to 179.97 meters as of 6 a.m.

Manila Water and Maynilad source their water from Angat dam.

In March, several customers of Manila Water in Metro Manila and nearby provinces experienced water shortage.

Manila Water attributed the problem to the declining water levels at La Mesa Dam.

But the Palace did not accept the explanation, saying customers of Maynilad, which also sources its water from Angat, did not experience the same water shortage.
