WATCH: John Paul Solano, a primary suspect in Castillo’s death, arrives at MPD

In this video taken by Eagle News Service reporter Jerold Tagbo, John Paul Solano, one of three primary suspects in the death of hazing victim Horacio Castillo III, is seen being whisked away by authorities to the homicide section of the Manila Police District.

Solano, who was wearing a jacket, a black T-shirt and a cap, was turned over to the MPD by Senator Panfilo Lacson.

Solano—who earlier told police he saw Castillo’s body on a pavement in Manila, but later changed his story—-first surrendered to the senator in the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

The surrender was facilitated by the University of Sto. Tomas’ Faculty of Civil Law dean Nilo Divina, whose father is a close friend of Solano’s father.

Apart from Solano, named primary suspects in the death of Castillo were Anthony Trangia and his son, Ralph, an officer of the Aegis Juris fraternity

The elder Trangia was the registered owner of the red pickup that was used to take Castillo to the hospital.

Castillo died of a heart attack as a result of massive trauma  from injuries he sustained during hazing rites held by the fraternity based in the University of Sto. Tomas over the weekend.
