(Eagle News)–For the lawyer of Vice President Leni Robredo, if President Rodrigo Duterte resigns it is not for him to decide who to succeed him.
According to Barry Gutierrez, “Yung Konstitusyon na sinumpaan niyang tutuparin at ipagtatanggol, yun din yung Konstitusyon na nagsasabi na kung sakaling siya ay bababa sa pwesto, ang papalit sa kanya ay ang nahalal na bise presidente.”
Gutierrez issued the statement after Duterte again belittled Robredo’s leadership capabilities, saying she was “weak.”
This was after Duterte revealed he had gone to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center to undergo some tests.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the tests were a followup to previous tests in which a possible growth was seen in the chief executive” digestive tract.
