Villar still leads Senate race a week after the polls

(Eagle News)–Senator Cynthia Villar continued to lead the Senate race on Monday, May 20, based on partial and unofficial results from the Commission on Elections transparency server.

Villar had 25,116,310 votes as of 11:17 a.m., over 3 million votes more than Grace Poe’s 21,911,481 votes.

Bong Go was still in third place, with 20,453,347 votes.

Below are the other Senate bets in the winning circle:

4. Pia Cayetano- 19,632,440 votes

5. Bato dela  Rosa- 18,802,305 votes

6. Sonny  Angara-18,041,634 votes

7. Lito Lapid- 16,880,206 votes

8. Imee Marcos- 15,729,192 votes

9. Francis Tolentino- 15,368,023 votes

10. Koko Pimentel- 14,548,465 votes

11. Bong Revilla- 14,546,314 votes

12. Nancy Binay- 14,448,498 votes

JV Ejercito was trailing close to Binay in thirteenth place, with 14,224,622 votes.

Bam Aquino, the highest-ranking Otso Diretso senatorial candidate, was still in fourteenth place, with 14,080,499 votes.

The results represent 98.26% of  nationwide Election Returns, or 86,320 of 87,851 ERs.

This translates to 46,933,612 of 63,662,481 registered voters.

Comelec has said the proclamation of winning Senate and partylist bets may take place on Tuesday, May 21.
