Vera Files describes as “downright false” allegations it was part of “oust Duterte plot”

(Eagle News)–Vera Files on Monday, April 22, dismissed as “downright false” allegations it was part of a supposed plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a statement, Vera Files’ Ellen Tordesillas, who was named by a matrix that detailed the supposed plot as the “nexus and distributor” of materials against Duterte, also criticized the kind of intelligence information the President receives based on the matrix.

” What I find disturbing is, if this is the kind of intelligence report that the President gets and bases his actions and policies on, the country is in big trouble,” Tordesillas said.

The matrix, which was published in The Manila Times, said Vera Files and other media outfits sourced the anti-Duterte materials from “Bikoy,” who was not identified.

“Bikoy” has figured in several videos in which he linked members of President Duterte’s family, including his teenage daughter Veronica, to the illegal drug trade.

Duterte has slammed the allegations and has vowed to reveal who was behind the “Bikoy” videos in due time.

Apart from these media outfits, also linked to the supposed plot were leftists such as Neri Colmenares, Edre Olalia and Carlos Zarate.
