UPDATED: Seven people, including a 3-year-old boy, hurt in blast in Manila; LPG tank leak eyed

(Eagle News)–Seven people, including a 3-year-old, were hurt in a blast in Manila on Sunday, June 2.

The blast at the Yogurt & Teahouse establishment on Dalupan St., which took  place at 8:10 a.m., injured bystanders Marilyn O. Parreño, 57; Merliza M. Defeo, 42; Shiley M. Villarazo, 47; Live Espino, 28; Mark Joseph Macabale,3; Jeffrey R. Hernandez, 28; and Raeniel Garcia, 37, a police report said.

The injured were rushed to the Mary Child General Hospital.

The report said the blast, which also damaged cars and adjacent establishments in the area, was possibly caused by an LPG gas leak.

The report said this was because no parts from an explosive device were found in the scene.

Police are still investigating the incident.
