Two Cabinet members, Marine Col. Marcelino, others get CA nod

(Eagle News) — The Commission on Appointments on Wednesday, Feb. 6, confirmed the appointments of two Cabinet members.

Apart from Eduardo Año, who was confirmed as Interior secretary, and Rolando Bautista who was confirmed as secretary of the  Department of Social Welfare and Development, confirmed were Aileen Lizada as commissioner of the Civil Service Commission and 43 military officials, including Marine  Col. Ferdinand Marcelino, who faced drug charges in 2016.

Also cleared was Yan Yi Shou, who Marcelino said was his informant.

Yan, however, was killed in August 2018.

Teresita Cruz Daza as ambassador to Chile; Noel Eugene Eusebio Mejico Servigon as ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Jakarta, Indonesia; Ramon Bagatsing Jr. as ambassador to India; Christopher Baltazar Montero as ambassador to Brunei Darussalam; and Noe Albano Wong as ambassador to Korea.
