TS “Atsani” enters PAR, is named “Siony”

(Eagle News)–Tropical Storm “Atsani” is now inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Atsani,” locally named “Siony,” was so far estimated  1,365 km east of Central Luzon.

It is packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph, and is moving west northwest at 30 kph.

It is forecast to move generally northwestward until Monday evening, then slowly west-southwest by Tuesday.

PAGASA said it remains less likely to affect any portion of the country over the next two to three days.

So far,  Typhoon “Rolly” is affecting the country, with Signal No. 4 raised over several areas.
