PAGASA said “Jenny,” which is located 375 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon as of 1 p.m., is forecast to make landfall in Aurora tonight or tomorrow early morning.
“Jenny” is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kilometers per hour, and is moving west northwest at 25 kilometers per hour.
According to PAGASA, between this afternoon and tonight, intermittent to frequent moderate to heavy rains will be experienced over Bicol Region, Samar Provinces, Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela and Cagayan.
Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains will affect Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Visayas, and the regions of Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Bangsamoro, the weather bureau said.
According to PAGASA, areas under Signal No. 2 are advised to take precautionary measures against potentially strong winds.
Occasional gusty conditions, PAGASA said, may occur over areas under Signal No. 1.
The weather bureau added occasional gusty conditions may also occur in Visayas and other areas of Luzon due to the southwest monsoon.
Sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of areas under a storm signal due to “potentially rough sea conditions,” PAGASA said.
