(Eagle News) — Senator Antonio Trillanes IV challenged the family of President Rodrigo Duterte to undergo a drug test, after he tested negative for illegal drugs, based on results of a surprise drug test conducted in the Senate.

“Kailan kaya magpapadrug-test ang mga Dutertes?” he asked, after posting a picture on his Twitter account of an East Ave. Medical Center report that said he was negative for cocaine, ecstacy, metamphetamine, morphine, and tetrahydrocannabinol.

In July, Senate President Tito Sotto surprised Senate employees with the drug test.

“Now, before we end, I have been informed that as part of the Senate’s commitment to a drug-free environment and workplace, and pursuant to our revised policy and guidelines, there will be a random mandatory drug testing to be conducted today immediately following the flag-raising ceremony,” Sotto had said in a speech during a flag-raising ceremony.

Apart from Trillanes and Sotto, Senator Gringo Honasan underwent the test.
