(Eagle News)–Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Saturday, June 22, challenged President Rodrigo Duterte to probe the purchase of P3.8 million worth of Kelvar helmets.
Trillanes issued the statement after Duterte tagged the senator’s mother and alleged pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim Napoles behind what the chief executive said was an anomalous purchase.
Iniiba lang nya ang usapan,” he said.
In September 2018, Duterte first accused Trillanes’ parents of cornering contracts in the Navy while the senator’s father was in the military service.
Trillanes hit back at Duterte, and told him not to involve his old mother in their verbal exchange.
