(Eagle News)–The vice mayor of Trece Martires, Cavite was shot dead on Saturday, July 6.

The police said Alex Lubigan was on board a black Toyota Hilux, with conduction sticker Y0477, on Trece-Indang Road in Barangay Luciano when a black Montero fired at it at 3:15 p.m.

Lubigan was killed on the spot.

His driver Romulo Guillemer was seriously injured and was rushed to the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital.

He, however, later passed away.

Another passenger on board, Romeo Edrinal, is so far undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

Lubigan’s killing came days after the killings of Tanauan, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili and of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote.
