Thunderstorm warning hoisted over Metro Manila, nearby provinces

(Eagle News) — A thunderstorm warning has been hoisted over Metro Manila and other nearby provinces.

In an advisory issued at 1:21 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds were expected over the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Nueva Ecija and Cavite within the next two hours.

So far, PAGASA said the same conditions were being experienced in Tuy, Balayan and Calaca in Batangas; and in Calauag, San Francisco and San Andres in Quezon.

PAGASA said the conditions may persist within two hours.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates,” PAGASA said.
