Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of S. Luzon on Saturday, May 25

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory was hoisted over parts of Southern Luzon on Saturday, May 25.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 8 a.m. bulletin that moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are being experienced  over Camarines Norte, Romblon and portions of Albay including Legazpi City, Rapu-rapu, Bacacay, Manito, Oriental Mindoro including Bulalacao, Mansalay, Roxas, Northern Samar particularly in Palapag, Mapanas, Gamay, Lapinig, and Sorsogon in Prieto Diaz, Gubat and nearby areas.

The weather bureau said these may persist within 1 to 2 hours.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates,” PAGASA said.
