Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya

(Eagle News)—A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Pangasinan and Nueva Vizcaya.

In an advisory issued at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, the  Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced over portions of Mangatarem, Pangasinan; and Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.

PAGASA said these conditions, which are due to thunderstorms, are expected to last for  one to two hours, and may affect nearby areas.

The weather bureau said moderate to heavy rains “at times intense with lightning and strong winds” are also being experienced over Sta.Fe, Dupax Del Norte, Dupax Del Sur, Kasibu and Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya.

It said these may last in the next one to two hours as well.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.
