(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory was hoisted over parts of Lanao del Norte, Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental on Saturday night.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 10:35 p.m. advisory that moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced over Iligan City in Lanao del Norte; in Sumilao and Malaybalay in Bukidnon; and in Lugait in Misamis Oriental.
The weather bureau said these may affect nearby areas and may persist within 1-2 hours.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
“Keep monitoring for updates,” it added.
