Telco giants to sign agreement lowering interconnection fee

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Telecommunications giants Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) and Globe signed a much-anticipated agreement that will lower the interconnection fee or the payment made by callers between the two networks.

From Php 4.00 per minute, the interconnection fee will be lowered to Php 2.00 per minute. It is expected that the lower rates will be felt by January 2017.
