(Eagle News)–Tropical Depression “Goring” has weakened into a low pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
PAGASA said signal number 1 over Batanes has therefore been lifted.
A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Metro Manila and nearby areas, though.
Moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, and NuevaEcija as well, PAGASA said.
The weather bureau said these conditions would persist in the next two hours.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
