Taipei: Ralph Trangia flew to Chicago, USA

(Eagle News) — Ralph Trangia, a primary suspect in the death of Horacio Castillo III, is not in Taiwan as he did not enter the Asian country in the first place.

The Taipei Economic Cultural Office said Trangia—who left Manila on Sept. 19 via flight number BR262–boarded a connecting flight—BR56—for Chicago, the United States from Taoyuan airport on the same day, instead.

“He was only one of the millions of transit passengers  who passed through Taiwan’s busy airport and departed for North America,” Teco said.

Teco said it does not know Trangia’s current whereabouts.

Trangia is an official of the Aegis Juris fraternity which is believed behind the death of Castillo, a freshman law student at the University of Sto. Tomas.

Castillo died of a heart attack from massive trauma resulting from injuries believed sustained from hazing rites.

Apart from Trangia, his father Antonio, the registered owner of the pickup that took Castillo to the Chinese General Hospital, is a primary suspect, and remains at large.

Also a primary suspect is John Paul Solano, who earlier claimed to have found Castillo’s body in a street corner in Tondo, Manila, but later changed his story.

He surrendered to Senator Panfilo Lacson on Friday.

While he admitted he lied to authorities the first time, he said his  participation was limited only to giving Castillo medical assistance after the hazing rites, which he did not attend in the first place.
