DOTr: 24/7 construction of Bicol Int’l Airport to start this month; target completion date of priority facilities set for within the year

(Eagle News)–The 24/7 construction of the Bicol International Airport will start in July. In a statement, the Department of Transportation said this was so the government could meet its target completion date of within the year for priority facilities set by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 4:21 a.m., had its epicenter 23 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 101 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, July 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3 a.m., had its epicenter 157 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 81 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was recorded in Malungon, Sarangani. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental early Thursday, July 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:34 a.m., had its epicenter 138 kilometers of Sarangani. It had a depth of 128 kilometers. 3.5-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News)– A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Eastern Samar on Monday, June 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 10:20 a.m., had its epicenter 19 kilometers northeast of San Julian. It had a depth of 15 kilometers. The following intensities were reported: Intensity III – San Julian and Borongan, Eastern Samar Intensity II -Sulat, Eastern Samar No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early today, June 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:36 a.m., had its epicenter 100 kilometers southeast of Manay. It had a depth of 32 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.2-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Friday, June 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:05 p.m., had its epicenter 56 kilometers southeast of Manay. It had a depth of 12 kilometers.
