3.1-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Eastern Samar on Monday, Dec. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 26 kilometers southeast of Giporlos at 3:56 a.m. Depth of focus was 71 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News) — A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Sunday, December 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 13 kilometers northeast of Cortes at 8:52 a.m. Depth of focus was 26 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.3-magnitude quake hits Bukidnon

(Eagle News)–A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Bukidnon on Saturday, Dec. 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 2 kilometers southeast of Don Carlos at 11:46 a.m. Depth of focus was 11 kilometers. An intensity III was felt in Don Carlos, Bukidnon. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Thursday, Dec. 5. (Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Camarines Sur early Thursday, Dec. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 22 kilometers northwest of Goa at 3:30 a.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.0-magnitude quake strikes off Batanes

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 44 kilometers northwest of Sabtang at 4:43 p.m. Depth of focus was 100 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 8 kilometers northeast of Tampakan at 11:18 a.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. The following intensity and instrumental intensity were recorded: Intensity Intensity II- Tampakan & Tupi, South Cotabato; Tulunan, Cotabato Instrumental Intensity: Intensity II – Tupi, South Cotabato; Koronadal City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Cotabato

(Eagle News) — A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato early Monday, December 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 23 kilometers southwest of Makilala at 6:55 a.m. Depth of focus was 26 kilometers. The following intensity and instrumental intensity were recorded: Intensity Intensity III- Kidapawan City Instrumental Intensity Intensity III- Kidapawan City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PHIVOLCS hoists lahar advisory over Mayon volcano due to “Tisoy”

(Eagle News) — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has hoisted a lahar advisory for Mayon Volcano in view of the expected landfall of “Tisoy” in the Bicol area. (Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Leyte on Friday night, Nov. 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said on Saturday, Nov. 30, that the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 10 kilometers southwest of Capoocan at 9:09 p.m. Depth of focus was 7 kilometers. An intensity II was felt in Capoocan. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental early Saturday, Nov. 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 103 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 12:33 a.m. Depth of focus was 93 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.4-magnitude quake jolts Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday, Nov. 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 194 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos at 8:29 p.m. Depth of focus was 60 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
