Cloudy skies, isolated rain showers expected: PAGASA

(Eagle News)–The southwest monsoon is affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms as a result. The rest of the country, PAGASA said, will experience the same conditions. PAGASA said the entire country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

ITCZ affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao

(Eagle News)–The Intertropical Convergence Zone is affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the entire country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms as a result. Flashfloods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. PAGASA said the entire country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

(Eagle News)–Signal No. 1 has been raised over several areas as Super Typhoon “Betty” maintains its strength while moving west northwest.
