(Eagle News)–The number-coding scheme for provincial buses is suspended from December 21, 2018 to January 2, 2019. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority made the announcement on Thursday, Dec. 20. Filipinos are expected to go to the provinces during the holidays. There is no announcement yet on whether there would be a suspension of the scheme for private vehicles.

Ang suspensyon ng number coding ay magsisimula ngayong araw Oktubre 31, at tatagal hanggang Lunes, Nobyembre 5. Ipinatutupad ang number coding scheme sa mga sasakyan na dumadaan sa mga pangunahing kalsada depende sa huling numero ng plaka. Hindi naman kasama sa suspensyon ng scheme ang lungsod ng Makati at Las Piñas.
(Eagle News)–The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Sunday, Aug. 26, announced the suspension of the number-coding scheme for Monday, Aug. 27. The suspension was in time for National Heroes Day. The MMDA did not say, however, if the suspension applies to Makati and Las Piñas.

In a tweet, the MMDA however said the lifting of the scheme does not apply to Las Piñas nor Makati. The suspension comes amid the monsoon rains that caused heavy flooding in some areas.
(Eagle News)—-The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has suspended the implementation of the number-coding scheme for Tuesday, May 1. In an advisory, the MMDA said the suspension was in cognizance of Labor Day. The MMDA said the suspension applies to the entire Metro Manila including Makati.

Motorists are expected to go on vacation during the long holiday break.

Under the expanded number coding scheme, more areas in Metro Manila were included in the policy. Also, the time period was extended up to 8 in the evening.
