US tip leads to arrest of Filipino with 5 kilos of cocaine at NAIA

(Eagle News)– Intelligence reports from United States led to the arrest of Jonjon Villamin Jr., who flew to Manila from Dubai, for attempting to smuggle 4.8 kilograms of cocaine at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Sunday. Six international flights suspended due to Typhoon Helen

MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday announced the cancellation of six international flights in Manila due to Typhoon Helen. The list of cancelled international flight as of Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 are the following: • China Airlines Flights 702 and 703 (Manila-Taipei-Manila) • Philippine Airlines Flights 428 and 427 (Manila-Narita-Manila) • Philippine Airlines Flights 896 and 897 (Manila-Kansai-Manila)

Bureau of Immigration approves appointment of Chinese interpreters at NAIA

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) approves the Port Operations Division’s recommendation to appoint interpreters who can speak Chinese in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). The Chinese interpreters will help immigration officers in conducting primary and secondary investigation of Chinese nationals entering and leaving the country.

Mga regular white taxi pinapapasok na sa NAIA

PASAY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Sinimulan nang ipatupad ngayong araw ang pagpapasok ng white metered taxi at kumuha ng mga pasahero sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Sinabi ni MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal na malaking tulong ang mga naturang white taxi lalo na sa mga pasaherong maraming bagahe.
