QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News)  — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is conducting “estero clean-up” operations as part of its preemptive anti-flood measures before the rainy season. According to MMDA Chairman Tim Orbos, the MMDA is not only concerned with the traffic problem but also with the flooding in Metro Manila due to clogged sewers.

Expanded number coding scheme starts today

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) started implementing its expanded number coding scheme or “no window-hour” policy today, November 2. Under the expanded number coding scheme, more areas in Metro Manila were included in the policy. Also, the time period was extended up to 8 in the evening. The expanded number coding scheme aims to lessen traffic during the holiday season.

Department of Transportation to handle traffic management in Metro Manila

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is finalizing details in its plan to directly handle the management of traffic flow in Metro Manila. Majority of “no contact” violators are PUVs – MMDA
