QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Metro Manila Development Authority guaranteed that it will not conduct a big beautification drive in order to hide squatter areas during the Miss Universe pageant.
According to MMDA General Manager Thomas Orbos, there are no plans to conduct traditional clean-up drives in contrast to previous administrations.
Orbos also said that this is the true face of Metro Manila and that the truth should not be hidden from the international community.
