LTO suspends nationwide operations

LTO opens district office in Basco, Batanes

(Eagle News)—The Land Transportation Office has opened a district office in Basco, Batanes. The Department of Transportation said since it started operations on Thursday, Oct. 10, 17 licenses were produced by the office in Barangay Kayvaluganan. In photos: LTO’s IDeROBOT that can produce 700 license plates in an hour

(Eagle News)–These pictures posted on the Department of Transportation’s Facebook account show the Land Transportation Office’s IDeROBOT, which is in charge of manufacturing license plates, in action. IDeROBOT, according to the DOTr, can manufacture around 700 license plates each hour. This is equivalent to 5600 license plates produced in one eight-hour shift. The equipment can be found in the Land Transportation Office’s plate-making facility in Quezon City.
