In an advisory issued at 9:10 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the warning covers Quezon City, Marikina, Pasig and San Juan. It said the heavy rains, lightning and strong winds may persist within one to two hours in those areas. PAGASA said, however, that “Jebi,” whose eye was seen 1815 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 11 a.m., poses no direct threat to any part of the country.
