Thunderstorm warning hoisted over QC, Pasig, San Juan, Marikina
(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over several parts of Metro Manila. In an advisory issued at 9:10 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the warning covers Quezon City, Marikina, Pasig and San Juan. It said the heavy rains, lightning and strong winds may persist within one to two hours in those areas. (Eagle News)—-Another typhoon may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday, Sept. 2, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. PAGASA said, however, that “Jebi,” whose eye was seen 1815 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 11 a.m., poses no direct threat to any part of the country. It said “no significant enhancement of the southwest monsoon” was also expected. “Jebi” may exit PAR on Monday morning.
