(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday, June 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:53 a,m, Its epicenter was 400 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Depth of focus was 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.9-magnitude quake hits Sulu

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Sulu today. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:13 a.m. It had its epicenter 230 kilometers southeast of Banguigui. Depth of focus was 608 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.3-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Wednesday, June 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 2:58 p.m. It had its epicenter  211 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. The depth was pegged at 129 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.2-magnitude quake hits Tawi-Tawi early Wednesday

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Tawi-Tawi early Wednesday, June 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:37 a.m., had its epicenter 320 kilometers southeast of South Ubian. Depth of focus was 31 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.0-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, June 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3:12 p.m, had its epicenter 431 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of  44 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Aurora

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Aurora early today. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 1:32 a.m., had its epicenter 45 kilometers northeast of Dilasag. It had a depth of 4 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PHIVOLCS: 5.6-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental today, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. According to PHIVOLCS, the quake, which hit at 9:06 p.m., had its epicenter 211 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 68 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were recorded: Instrumental Intensities: Intensity I – Alabel, Malungon and Kiamba, Sarangani; Tupi, South Cotabato No damage to property were recorded, but aftershocks were.

3.7-magnitude quake hits Batangas

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Batangas today, May 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 8:30 a.m., had its epicenter 10 kilometers southwest of San Luis. It had a depth of three kilometers. The following intensities and instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity: Intensity II – Taal, Batangas Instrumental Intensities: Intensity I – Calatagan, Batangas; Tagaytay City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.0-magnitude quake hits Davao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao del Sur early Wednesday, May 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:10 a.m., had its epicenter 16 kilometers southwest of Kiblawan. It had a depth of 15 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was recorded: Intensity II – Malungon, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Taal update: 5 quakes, weak steaming monitored; alert level 1 still raised over volcano

(Eagle News)–Five volcanic earthquakes were recorded at Taal within a 24-hour period. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quakes at the volcano, which remains on alert level 1, were  “associated mainly with rock-fracturing processes beneath and around the edifice.” Weak steaming  was also observed from fissure vents along the Daang Kastila trail. (Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Sunday, May 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 8:42 a.m., had its epicenter   77 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of 23 km. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
