(Eagle News) — A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Maguindanao on Tuesday, April 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 7:49 a.m. It had its epicenter 29 kilometers southwest of Datu Blah Sinsuat. The quake had a depth of 605 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.7-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Norte early Thursday

(Eagle News) — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte early Thursday, April 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 12:39 a.m. It had its epicenter 51 kilometers northeast of Burgos. According to PHIVOLCS, the earthquake had a  depth of six kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

212 volcanic quakes monitored at Taal in 24 hours

(Eagle News) — Over 200 volcanic earthquakes were monitored at Taal in 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the 212 volcanic earthquakes monitored at the volcano, which remains on alert level 2, included 168 episodes of volcanic tremor with durations of one to 20 minutes, and 44 low-frequency volcanic earthquakes. (Eagle News) — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Catanduanes early Tuesday, March 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 5:08 a.m. It had its epicenter 89 kilometers southeast of Baras, and a  depth of 35 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
