DFA: No Filipinos hurt in car attack in Tokyo

(Eagle News)–No Filipinos were hurt after a car rammed against a crowd celebrating the New Year in Tokyo, Japan. The Department of Foreign Affairs said there were no Filipinos among the nine who were injured in the attack on Takeshita St. in  Harajuku. The DFA said this was based on a report from the Philippine embassy in Tokyo. Authorities have the driver, Kazuhiro Kusakabe, whom they said acted with “intent to murder.”    

DFA issues security advisory for Filipinos in Libya

(Eagle News)—The Department of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, Dec. 26, urged Filipinos to take extra precautions following a suicide bomb attack at the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs last week. The more than 2000 Filipinos were also urged to avoid travelling after the suicide bombing incident that left at least three people dead. DFA, consular offices closed on Dec. 26, 2018 and Jan. 2, 2019
